Haitor’s calibration laboratory has been granted the only accreditation for torque in Finland which meets the SFS-EN ISO / IEC 17025: 2017 requirement. In the future, the scope of our accredited torque calibration service will be even wider, with the measuring range of hydraulic torque wrenches reaching up to 100,000 Nm.

The year 2020 is coming to an end in the best of moods, as our calibration laboratory K060 has received the long-awaited re-accreditation decision. The new decision also brings expansions to our torque measurement ranges. Our previous accreditation decision has covered hydraulic torque wrenches in the range of 30 to 50,000 Nm, while the new decision enables accredited calibration of hydraulic wrenches up to 100,000 Nm.

Best of all, the new accreditation also applies to field-calibrated hydraulic torque wrenches and manual torque wrenches. This enables calibration procedures to be done directly in torque tool applications which significantly facilitates the entire calibration process. Our mobile maintenance and calibration service will continue to be not only the fastest, but also the most cost-effective way to calibrate your torque tools.

The new decision will take effect immediately and will expire on June 23, 2024. Accreditation requires us to continuously maintain and develop standardized processes. The standard compliance of our operations is monitored through FINAS – the national accreditation body in Finland – and its annual audit.

Proper calibration guarantees exactly the right torque

Accreditation is a procedure based on international criteria for proving the competence of the operator to be accredited and the accuracy of the results and certificates provided. For the customer, accreditation is above all a sign of the operator’s credibility, reliability and the quality of the service provided.

Our accredited torque calibration service takes care of all hydraulic wrenches and hand torque tools for you – regardless of the brand or model of the tools. We also calibrate torque transducers and measuring devices in our calibration laboratory. The wide scope of our accreditation includes:

– Hand torque tools 0,04 – 3 000 Nm
– Hydraulic torque wrenches 30 – 100 000 Nm
– Torque transducers and testers 0,04 – 1 500 Nm
– Electronic torque indicators 0,5 – 11 mV dc

The accreditation also applies to on-site calibrations for hand torque tools and hydraulic torque wrenches, which enables calibrations to be performed directly at the customer’s premises. Our calibration service also offers traceable calibration for all battery, electric and pneumatic torque wrenches as well as pump units with pressure gauges. The calibration service also includes tracking of tool calibration intervals in our system.
